Of the Beast
There are endless articles, blogs and videos that explore the mark of the beast, it’s number and the many ways in which those destined to be marked, will indeed be marked.
Bitcoin? Microchips? Biometrics (finger, face & eye scanning)? Music? Sunday Worship? Etc. Etc.
In our walk to salvation, it’s easy to get caught up in all the many provocative details that pertain to the beast. Though it’s essential to learn enough to recognize and discern the ways of the beast, we risk being led astray when we dive too deep. In Revelation 2:24, our Messiah advises us to steer clear of learning “the so-called ‘deep things’ of satan.” (TLV)
Ecclesiastes 12:11-12, also warns, “The words of the wise are like goads, their collective sayings are likely firmly affixed nails. They have been given by One Shepherd. Be warned my son of anything in addition to them: There is no end to the making of many books, and excessive study wearies the flesh.” (TLV)
Our time, energy, effort and attention is a gift from The Most High. It’s currency. We are called to invest our life currency by serving the body of Christ. Despite the message preached in churches, Our Father in Heaven is not interested in exchanging His blessings for our dollars and cents.
In Mark 12:17, looking at a coin, our Messiah, asks the deceptive Pharisees and Herodians attempting to trap him by inquiring whether it is lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” When they respond, “Caesar’s”, he proceeds, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to The Most High the things that are His.”
Dear Saints and soldiers,
let’s not spend our dollars at church on Sunday, and then turn around and invest our life currency (time, energy, effort and attention) on living, learning and indulging in the ‘deep things’ of the enemy.
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow is the gate and difficult the way that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” - Matthew 7 13-14 (TLV)
Be the few. Be the chosen.
Let’s walk the narrow path by keeping our spirit, heart, mind, body and soul aligned with Christ. Our Shepherd is as a bold as a lion. Under His covering, we can walk amongst wolves unharmed — “wise as serpents, innocent as doves.” - (Matthew 10:16)
“But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Therefore whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:30 (TLV)
Bottom line,
Who cares about the beast and what he is up to. Our Messiah already won the fight. Our assignment right now is to assemble together as The Body of Christ — One Vision, One Purpose and One Calling —
