Mar 7 Are you Spiritual Thyatira of Today?

Thyatira is the fourth community of people (aka. church) that our Messiah addresses through John in the Book of Revelation.

THE MESSAGE

Messiah knows:

your deeds, your love
your faith, service and patient endurance
that your last deeds are greater than the first

“But I have this against you,”

“you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess — yet she is teaching and deceiving My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.” - Revelation 2:19 (TLV)

“Jezebel” the embodiment of a wicked woman — most sinful without remorse or the ability to repent of her sins. In the Old Testament, Jezebel was a power-hungry murderess who set herself no boundaries to attain what she wanted. Jezebel’s earthly father Ethbaal, was a priest of the cruel, sinful, false god Baal.

Old Testament Jezebel was married to King Ahab, who was a weak, insecure man who neglected to lead his household or kingdom as biblically prescribed. Under the inverted, domineering rulership of his murderous wife Jezebel, he welcomed idolatry (worship of false god Baal) into his household and kingdom, causing destruction of manhood and dragging womanhood into shame.

This is in direct opposition to The Most High’s prescription for marriage. A loving husband is prescribed to love and lead his family — mirroring Christ’s leadership of His church (Ephesians 5:25-29).

JEZEBEL TODAY

Jezebel is alive and well today in spiritual form. The existence of her spirit is no longer limited to women. Men can also become victim to it’s takeover. The Jezebel spirit:

loves being in authority and in control
is manipulative
never takes accountability/admits guilt - very defensive
uses beauty/sex to advance own agenda
calls him/herself a prophet/prophetess or The Most High’s servant — but the fruits of labour reveal allegiance to Baal (promote and preach prosperity, fertility, harvest gospel)

“You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes aren’t gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles, are they? Even so every good tree produces good fruit, but the rotten tree produces bad fruit.
A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit.
Every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire.
So then, you will recognize them by their fruit.
Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord!” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me on that day, “Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?
Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!” - Matthew 7:16-23 (TLV)

Prescription:

“But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold to this teaching and have not learned the ‘deep things’ of satan — I place on you no other burden. Only hold firm to what you have until I come.” - Revelation 2:24-25 (TLV)

Caution:

“I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her immorality. Behold, I will throw her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation — unless they repent of her doings. I will also strike her children with a deadly disease. Then all of Messiah’s communities will know that I am the One who searches minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your deeds.” - Revelation 2:21-23 (TLV)

“…To the one who overcomes and guards My deeds until the end,”

“I will give him authority over the nations and he shall rule them with an iron rod, as when clay pots are broken into pieces. Even as I have received from My Father, so I will give him the morning star.” - Revelation 2:26-29 (TLV)

There are many interpretations of what is meant by Yeshua’s promise of the morning star to those of Thyatira who overcome. The interpretations can be summed up to equate to glory — promise of a glorious future to be shared with Christ Himself.

Thyatira: Do Not Tolerate Jezebel

“To the angel of Messiah’s community in Thyatira write: “Thus says the Son of Elohim, who has eyes like a flame of fire and feet like polished bronze:
I know your deeds and your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your last deeds are greater than the first.
But this I have against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess — yet she is teaching and deceiving My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificied to idols.
I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her immorality.
Behold, I will throw her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation — unless they repent of her doings.
I will also strike her children with a deadly disease. Then all of Messiah’s communities will know that I am the One who searches minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your deeds.
But the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold to this teaching and have not learned the so-called ‘deep things’ of satan — I place on you no other burden. Only hold firm to what you have until I come. To the one who overcomes and guards My deeds until the end, “I will give him authority over the nations and he shall rule them with an iron rod, as when clay pots are broken into pieces.”
Even as I have received from My Father, so I will give him the morning star. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Ruach is saying to Messiah’s communities.” - Revelation 2:18 -29 (TLV)
